I; Abdul Shaheed became an Approved Volunteer in the Texas prison system in 2013. I am not paid by the state of Texas. Neither funded by any religious or other organization. All that I do is at my expense.
The Ministry conducts Friday Congregation Prayers for prisoners who have declared Al-Islam as their faith. And conducts Sunday Taleem (Learning) services which are Open Call for any prisoner of any faith.
The Ministry writes study sheets based on Quran and Bible scriptures. And gives out the study sheets free of charge to all prisoners.
The Ministry is motivated by the sincere belief that Quran and Bible both contain Higher Knowledge which is needed to direct all other knowledge.
The Ministry has been contacted by prisoners in many American states. And therefore also mails study sheets to them.

The Proud Muslim Ministry has the goals of:
1=Obtaining an site in inner city Killeen, Texas where Prayer and Study Classes will be conducted.
2=Establishing a Muslim faith-based housing facility
[of STRONG MORAL FOUNDATION] which will be open to any prisoner of any faith who sincerely is striving to enter society as a productive citizen.
